Sushi Kita
An upcoming restaurant in Belfast focusing on providing an authentic sushi experience showcasing local ingredients as well as some imported Japanese products.
Inspiration
The name Sushi Kita is taken from the former restaurant of one of our owners, which was the northernmost sushi restaurant at the time in Longyearbyen, Svalbard. Kita (北) means north, and in addition to the restaurant being in Northern Ireland, the approach to the food will take inspiration from Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan.
This means that we will focus on recipes that showcase the quality of the ingredients that we will have, which are thankfully not too hard to find in the local area. The atmosphere aims to be one that is authentic and traditional, but also with some adaptations to create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.
